Tennis Championship

St. Dom's Girls, Hall-Dale Boys, Capture 2014 MVC Tennis Championships

The St. Dom's girls defeated Hall-Dale 3-2 on May 29th the capture the 2014 MVC Tennis Championship. After the Hall-Dale's doubles team of Autumn St. Pierre and Thea Sweet tied the competition at 2-2 with their victory, the Saint's doubles team of Zoe Caron and Clare Kramer won the final and deciding match 6-2, 7-6. In singles play, St. Dom's Bethany Hammond and Callie Greco and Hall-Dale's Nicole Pelletier were also victorious.

 

The Hall-Dale boys were more fortunate, defeating Monmouth 4-1 to capture their second straight MVC Championship. Hall-Dale's Bryson Camp won the second singles match, while third singles was won by Ryan Branscom,  The Bulldogs first doubles teams of Andrew Peterson and Nicholas Bates, and second doubles team of Jacob Young and Malcolm Avore were also victorious.  Monmouth's first singles competitor, Casey Smith, was the lone winner for the Mustangs.
