Spruce Mountain staged a rally in the 5th inning, scoring one run. Jazmine Pingree reached base on a single to right field.  After Samantha Martin and Ashley Nelson reached to load the bases, Santika Hodgkin drove a ball to deep center for an RBI sacrifice fly. A great catch by center fielder Marie Benoit prevented further damage.

Benoit led off the bottom of the 5th inning with an infield single. After reaching second base on a fielder's choice, she scored on a ball off the bat of Lucy Gray that was misplayed in the outfield, making the score 6-1. Gray ended up on third base and later scored to make the score 7-1.

After a scoreless 6th inning by Spruce, Soule continued her hot hittiing with a long drive to center field that could not be handled, and Zoe scampered into third base. She later scored the final run on an infield error, making the score 8-1.

Pitcher Donahue put the Jay-Livermore team down in order in the 7th inning to give the Bulldogs the MVC crown. Donahue pitched a complete game, allowing 5 hits while striking out 3 and walking only 1. Rylee Turner took the loss for Spruce Mountain.
