The Hall-Dale girls captured the 2021 Mountain Valley Conference Soccer Championship with a 2-0 victory over Oak Hill on October 20th. With the win, the Bulldogs avenged their only loss of the season, a 1-0 victory by the Raiders on October 11th. 

 

Hall-Dale grabbed a 1-0 lead at 14:25 of the first half, with Zoe Soule scoring on an assist by Rita Benoit. Then, at 1:47 of the second half, Marie Benoit made it 2-0 on a goal that was assisted by Lily Platt.  Hall-Dale dominated play in this one, having 14 shots on goal while Oak Hill could only muster 3. Oak Hill's Paige Gonya had 7 saves in goal for the Raiders, while Aubrey Gilbert preserved the shutout with saves on all three shots.

 

Hall-Dale had 4 corners and Oak Hill had 2. 

 

This game featured the top two teams in Southern Maine Class C, with Hall-Dale going in #1 with an 11-1 record and Oak Hill #2 at 12-0.
